"Wish all the pools were opened."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
It would of been a more relaxing atmosphere if all the pools were opened..instead, people were arguing about seating. Quiet frustrating.

"Inconsistant"
Overall Score3.0/ 5
The first night there we (party of 7) had dinner in the hotel dining room. It was exceedingly cold. Only a few other customers were in the dining and they were also uncomfortably cold. We all made multiple requests of the hostess, server and finally the manager on duty to warm the dining room up. Additionally the service was poor. It took one 1/2 hours for us to finally receive our food. The food was good. I left a message for the general manager to please call me when she was back on duty the next day. I did receive a call (possible Andria?) and after we spoke she promised to get back to me later that same day. I never received a follow up phone call from her. I left another message at check out for her to please give me a call. Additionally, at one am somebody had a dog in their room that was barking and whining until 7 am. I like dogs but I did not get any sleep during that time frame. We were in room 3112. Nice pool, room was fine. Generally speaking the staff was friendly. I try to be understanding in light of world events and a possible cut back in hotel staffing, but I will give this review a day or two to respond and then I plan to hit social media hard on our experience. "Visit for NARPM Conference."
Overall Score2.0/ 5
I have been to the hotel in the past for NARPM Conference and definitly some issues this time as the last visit was very nice 1) Bad hammer jacking of pipes at shower and tub and even a leak at toilet 2) Room one draw to place clothes for two people, no luggage racks 3) Room was at the furthest corner from activity 4) Called front desk for help with luggage four times and no one answered Jeff Slodowitz.

"Relaxing Stay at the Riviera."
Overall Score5.0/ 5
We were in Palm Springs for a family wedding and stayed at the Riviera. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We loved the food. We had lunch and breakfast at the Cafe Palemetto and lunch at the Soleil poolside bar and really enjoyed all our meals. We loved that there were two pools, the quiet one and the party pool with the DJ. The room was nice. We didn't like that the closet was in the bathroom but we were really glad we had a room with a balcony. The check in was easy. And even though we were early we were able to get into our room so we started our stay early and relaxed at the pool with lunch. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. We were really glad that we chose the Riviera and we would definitely stay there again.

"A nostalgic getaway in a desert oasis."
Overall Score5.0/ 5
In a classic 1963 movie called Palm Springs Weekend the movie opens with an arial view of the Riviera Resort. I remember staying there as a child with my parents over 50 years ago. Just for the nostalgia, my wife and I booked a room at the ole resort thinking it was probably dated and run down over half a century in spite viewing the nice pictures on their web site. Boy was I ever wrong! It was still the same nostalgic architecture on the outside well kept and updated. The landscaping was well manicured with lots of trees, palms and green grass. The room looked like it was recently remodeled to modern standards by a professional interior designer and very well kept. The king size bed was comfortable too! A super clean roomy shower with a glass enclosure and what appeared to be polished earth tone granit tile on the floor and walls. No mildewy shower curtains or stinky plastic shower enclosures here! The big puzzle piece shaped pool surrounded by desert trees and palms provided shady areas to get out of the sun. There was a bar set up near the pool for refreshments as well. This is definitely an oasis paradise the Desert with a clear mountain view. Upon arrival we were met by a very curtius and friendly staff. Not just at the front desk, but the entire staff from house keeping to maintenance personnel to bar tenders and severs they were all good! One little thing, wich is probably a simple fix for such a fabulous resort, is that in our room at least, wich faces the punishing afternoon summer sun, the A/C seemed to struggle keeping the room below 77 degrees. Never the less we were very comfortable. We shall return! Sincerely Ben and Patricia Arrietta.

"Beautiful,clean and very friendly staff."
Overall Score4.0/ 5
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very clean and much larger than expected. We ate at the dining room twice and the food was delicious and priced moderately. The pool was clean and large. Once it became over crowded with a much younger group of guests, we moved to the family pool which was more quiet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay at the Riviera Palm Springs again.

"Beautiful outdoor decor, rooms awful, part two."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
Follow up to my review, the room we moved to had its own set of problems. A/C was not working. After returning at night to a very hot room it took 30 minutes for the engineer to arrive after our call to the front desk. Then an hour for the engineer to repair the A/C. Even with the fan on low, it was very loud. Not a restful or comfortable place to get sleep.

"Impressive outdoor decor, but rooms Ugh!"
Overall Score3.0/ 5
I paid A LOT for a nice/upgraded view room, along with food, cabana and hotel services but the room was so bad I had to change rooms. The door locks were not secure, the door frame was nearly coming off (pointless to use the other lock) and the tub was dirtystained. While a manager allowed us to change rooms, nothing was offered for our inconvenience. Not to mention for originally putting me and my daughter in an unsafe room in which the door could not be locked properly.

"Loved the vibe but wished they offered room service. Tub needs to be replaced."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
Lovely hotel with loads of character. Staff was helpful and friendly. Eating fish tacos by the pool was delightful. The two disappointing things were that the enamel in the bathtub had flaked off in large chunks it should have been replaced long ago. Also, I was disappointed to learn that they don't offer room service. If it weren't for those two things, I'd have given it four or five stars.

"Everything takes forever."
Overall Score2.0/ 5
Would have been a good stay except the front desk takes forever to do anything. An hour and a half to send an engineer to fix a leak that left a pool of water in our bathroom. Fixed at 11:30pm, then leak happens again the next day. Another hour and a half to wait for our new room and keys. I called multiple times and was told they are working on it. The restaurant was good, new room was fine, employees need to step it up a bit.
